Vic Mensa who is currently on holiday in his motherland country, Ghana to kick it with his family and also put in some work while he’s there took to social media to share some rather sad news.

The American rapper real name Victor Kwesi Mensah disclosed that burglars showed up with a truck in Chicago and took away brand new shoes worth $40,000 and other donated products in his inventory that was meant for his Charity, Save Money Save Life.

“On New Year’s Eve, the entire donation inventory for my non-profit @savemoneysavelife was robbed. I founded the organization in 2018 to help the city I call home and since then we’ve donated 100,000+ pounds of food, over 50,000 pairs of shoes, and countless PPE supplies since the dawn of the pandemic…” Vic Mensa wrote on Instagram accompanying the statement with a video explaining the same.

“Sadly, we were set up and someone brought a truck to our Southside Chicago location and cleaned us out of over $40,000 worth of brand new shoes, Still, I want to thank everyone who has supported us thus far. Donation links are in my bio”, Vic Mensa continued.

Vic Mensa started out the Non-profit, Save Money Save Life back in 2018 to give back to the city that made him who he is today, that is Chicago and since then the charity has been able to donate over 50,000 pairs of shoes, countless PPEs supplies during the pandemic and a lot of other stuff.
