Socialite and beauty entrepreneur Vera Sidika has opened up about her current relationship status, describing it as “one foot in and one foot out.”
In an interview with Kalondu, Sidika candidly shared her approach to relationships, stating, “There is no official relationship because for me, I don’t want anything to be responsible for now, I just want to enjoy myself. It is true that I am dating someone but I cannot say that I am in a relationship.”
She elaborated, explaining her mindset: “I’m 50-50; one foot in and the other foot out.”
Sidika emphasized her focus on personal growth and exploration, highlighting her desire to travel and develop herself. “I am focusing more on developing myself and exploring myself by touring around the world,” she said.
While acknowledging her current dating situation, Sidika clarified that she’s not fully committed. “I’m dating a Nigerian, they know exactly,” she revealed. “It’s like I was lost and then I realized myself. He takes very good care of me.”
Sidika also humorously shared some insights for those interested in dating Nigerians, jokingly stating, “The first requirement if you want to date a Nigerian, is to have ‘nyash’.”
Reflecting on her journey to self-acceptance, Sidika revealed how perceptions of her body changed over time. “When I was in the village I used to think I was fat,” she recalled. “But when I got to Nairobi, everyone was interested in my ‘nyash’. Then I realized that I was missing something.”
Sidika expressed pride in embracing her unique attributes and leveraging them to her advantage. “I feel that people made me realize that I can use what I have been blessed with to get what I want, and there is nothing wrong with that,” she said.
