Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika has made it clear that she will never consider relocating her family to live abroad.
Despite her frequent travels to the United States, Dubai, and other destinations, Vera maintains that Kenya is her home and where she wants her family to stay.
The mother of two while speaking during a recent interview said she wants her children to experience the world and all its wonders, but not at the expense of their Kenyan upbringing.
She believes that living in Africa is phenomenal and that many people assume that there is a utopian world outside of Africa simply because they haven’t actually been there.
Vera, who is known for her lavish lifestyle, emphasized that not all that glitter is really gold. She encouraged people to travel often and experience the world for themselves, but ultimately appreciate being home.
“I would visit a million times, but never relocate,” she said candidly.
In a separate interview, Vera revealed that she is eyeing a new career move in the entertainment industry. She believes that with a little coaching, she could be an amazing actress, particularly if given roles that showcase her dramatic side.
“I feel like I would actually be a great actress, especially if I’m given a bad girl role,” she said.
Vera drew a distinction between reality TV, which she maintains is not scripted, and acting in a movie, where you have to follow written lines and cues. She expressed her desire for roles that play on her “sugar babe” persona or those of a strong and powerful woman.
“You know like a… I’m a sugar babe, or like a drug dealer, a Madam, you know something… something bad,” she said passionately.
