Vanessa Mdee, the renowned Tanzanian singer, recently took to her social media pages to announce the successful completion of her eye surgery in the United States.
The singer posted a heartfelt video featuring herself and her husband, actor and musician Rotimi, showcasing their joy and relief following the procedure.
In the video, Mdee is seen with a protective device covering her operated eye, clearly in good spirits alongside Rotimi.
“If your eye surgery is successful, Glory to God,” she expressed, radiating gratitude and relief.
This update comes after Mdee had previously disclosed her struggle with blindness in one eye, a condition she had been living with for some time.
Despite this significant challenge, Mdee’s determination and resilience remained unwavering.
“I’m blind in one eye too, but that hasn’t stopped me from pursuing my big dreams,” she had shared earlier, inspiring many of her followers.
Elaborating on her condition, Mdee explained that she had been functioning with sight in only one eye due to an unspecified issue that rendered the other eye blind.
“I had a problem that made my eye blind. For a while, I have been using one eye, the other is blind,” she revealed.
In her posts, Mdee also expressed immense gratitude for the vision in her remaining eye, addressing and dispelling various rumors about her condition.
She posted a video thanking God for the healing of her eye, acknowledging the divine kindness she felt she had received.
Mdee took the opportunity to impart a piece of advice to her followers, emphasizing the importance of turning to faith during times of trouble.
“Sometimes it’s better to stay silent and say to God only; you continue to deal with the problem and not a problem solver,” she advised, reflecting her deep spiritual perspective and reliance on faith through her ordeal.
