Oklahoma court has sentenced a US charity worker for 40 years in prison for defiling more than 10 children at Upendo Children’s Home in Nairobi.
21-year-old Matthew Lane Durham was arrested in 2014 at his parent’s home in the US after he fled Kenya in 2014.
Durham targeted orphans while working as a volunteer at the Upendo Children’s Home in Nairobi between April and June 2014.
Judge David Russell handed Durham a 40 year prison term. He was also ordered to pay $15,863 or Kes 1.6 million as compensation for the abused children.
