Again I write a sad story about someone dying because of supposed love. If this is love then I don’t want any part of it. A jealous man from Kedowa trading centre in Kipkelion East Constituency has been arrested for the murder of his wife.
The man who fled to Kisii county which is his ancestral home after the crime came clean to the police in Kisii. The man had killed his wife 2 weeks prior by inserting a knife into her neck. He then proceeded to cover her body with bed-clothes and stuffed her body with sawdust and charcoal. The man did such n excellent job of wrapping her that it took two weeks for neighbours to start smelling the stench from his house which was under lock and key.
The deceased was called Pauline Kobia Maina alias Njeri a barmaid. Is it me or isn’t being a barmaid a very dangerous occupation? The unidentified man who surrendered himself to the police said the motive for the murder was jealousy because he had found a flirtatious text message on her phone. Kedowa/Kimugul member of County Assembly Denis Kirui called for the strengthening of the Nyumba Kumi initiative in the area. Me, I don’t think Nyumba Kumi or Nyumba Ishirini would have helped anyone in this situation. A crime of passion has no logic nor prevention. All you can do is report the murder more quickly after the fact. But anyway, what do I really know?
