President Uhuru Kenyatta with his deputy William Ruto together with opposition chief Raila Odinga mourns the loss of Kenyans at the accident that occurred early Wednesday morning at Fort Tenan in Kericho County claiming 50 Kenyans lives after the bus plunged into a valley.
Taking to social media, Twitter especially, Head of State, Uhuru Kenyatta together with his deputy William Ruto and Opposition chief, Raila Odinga mourned with fellow Kenyans on this sad day and also called drivers to exercise caution whenever they drive.
” My heartfelt condolences to the families of fellow Kenyans who lost their lives in a tragic road accident at Fort Ternan in Kericho County this morning and wish those in hospital quick recovery.” president Uhuru Kenyatta tweeted, ” As authorities investigate the cause of the accident with a view of taking action, I would like to remind drivers to always exercise caution to avoid such catastrophic incident.” he added on another tweet.
His deputy, William Ruto also took time to mourn with Kenyans after so many lives got lost at the Fort Ternan, ” The nation is united in grief following the tragic road crash involving a bus at Fort Ternan, Kericho County. We condole with the affected families and wish quick recovery to the injured.” the deputy President tweeted, William Ruto emphasized the PSV companies to always adhere to road safety to ensure their staff are not fatigued on trip while they take their drivers to refresher driving courses, “PSV companies must adhere to road safety rules; ensure their drivers are not fatigued and administer refresher driving courses to staff.” he added.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga also gave out his condolences to the friends and family of the deceased Kenyans on the grisly road accidents in at Fort Tenan in Kericho county. “ I send my deepest condolences to the friends and families who have lost their loved ones in the horrific accident that occurred at Fort Tenan. May the souls of all the departed rest in eternal peace. I appeal to police officers to arrest the return of madness on our roads.” his tweets read.
