President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday October 21st spoke about the contentious Prime Minister’s post that has been proposed in the recently released Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

The BBI report, which was released today October 21st at Kisii State Lodge, has recommended the re-introduction of Prime Minister’s position and those of two Deputy Prime Ministers.

The proposed re-introduction of Prime Minister’s post has been a torn in the flesh of deputy president William Ruto and his supporters who deem it as plot by Uhuru to stay in power beyond 2022.

Uhuru and his bandwagon have been alleging that Uhuru and Raila Odinga are using BBI to allocate themselves plum government position post 2022.

Uhuru Kenyatta’s look alike finally gets the promised car!

There have been reports that Raila will run for president in 2022 general election and that he will appoint Uhuru as Prime Minister in the event that he clinches the presidency. Raila and Uhuru’s political allies have been pushing his narrative for a while now.

However, speaking during the launch of Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Kisii branch on Wednesday, President Kenytta stressed that he was not interested in any political seat after he retires as president in 2022.

Uhuru reiterated that he was looking forward to retire peacefully at home. The president further urged Kenyans to support BBI saying the initiative will benefit ordinary citizens as it was aimed at ending systemic problems that have deviled the country since independence.

“Sisi tunataka taifa ambalo kila Mkenya anajiweza mwenyewe, anajisimamia yeye mwenyewe. Sio kungojea kutegea yale ambayo ataletewa na wengine. Na mimi leo nko na haki ya kuwaambia hivyo, kwa sababu hakuna kitu natafuta. Na ndipo naambia wakenya fikirieni,” said Uhuru.
