52 year old Creisson Pierre Michel Christian and 56 year old Barbier Thiery Fredrick William died after the plane they were travelling in crashed a kilometer away from Kauro Airstrip in Samburu County.
Creisson was the pilot of the plane while Barbier was the co-pilot. The two had just finished filming a documentary at Sera wildlife conservancy prior to their crash.
Preliminary results of the investigation indicate that the ill-fated plane could have suffered mechanical failure.
The bodies of the deceased were airlifted to Nairobi as the police secured the plane’s wreckage in the usually grazing lands of the Samburus.
