Young pop rapper Trio Mio says his father advised him never to date an older woman.
In an interview with Mungai Eve, Trio Mio noted that he respects women who are older than him but nonetheless stressed that he couldn’t date a lady who is older than him.
“It depends on the relationship. But I will never date an older woman. It’s a fact,” he said.

“If we’re the same age it can cause a lot of friction. You can clash badly and I don’t want that, so I’m going to date someone who’s younger than me,” he added.
In 2021, his mother Irma Sakwa said that she met Trio’s girlfriend and approved of their relationship.
“I was glad at least he brought a girl and I met her. It’s good. It’s better than keeping the relationship a secret,” she said.
The young rapper praised his girlfriend.
“She is beautiful, she makes me happy, she is responsive,” Trio Mio said.
“I want to achieve my goals because she achieves hers while we are still together,” he added.
