Trio Mio is riding high in the Kenyan rap scene with his consistency in the music industry despite his young age and being in school. The young teenage rapper has managed to achieve an elevated status in the hip hop scene rather quickly setting precedence.
Trio Mio, 16, has marked his name as one of the best rappers today thanks to his numerous hit records having worked with Mejja, Masauti, Shari Afrika, and many established artistes in the music scene.
Being a superstar at such a young age usually comes with certain challenges, some of which the 16-year-old rapper addressed in the sit-down interview with Mzazi Willy M. Tuva at the Mseto East Africa show on Citizen radio.
The rapper who was accompanied by his momager Irma Sakwa for the interview tackled a lot of issues that most of his fans were curious to know.

For starters he made it clear that indeed he is in a relationship and he has a girlfriend who is younger than him, he didn’t dwell on the question that was posed by Mzazi Willy M Tuva. He said what needed to be said and kept it moving on to the next question.
“I have a girlfriend, she’s younger than me, she makes me happy, she’s a vibe, she’s beautiful,” Trio Mio said in part, adding that his girlfriend has already met his mother. His mother who says she openly talks about sex education with his son is glad that she met his girlfriend.
The rapper has been practicing abstinence with his girlfriend disclosing that what’s on his mind right now is his studies and perfecting his craft as a bonafide, successful mainstream rapper.
Trio Mio says that he usually lockout “Trio Mio” outside the school’s main gate to focus on school because when he is inside the school, nothing else matters apart from his studies. When he is in school, he becomes a student, and nothing more, fellow students usually appreciates his humble side when he is in school.
