Trio Mio had to jaggle between his education and music career, picking the latter at the expense of the former – which explained his dismal performance in KCSE.
The rapper is said to have attained a mean grade of D in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.
Trio sat for KCSE last year at Kitanga Boys High School – a private Secondary School located in Machakos Town Constituency.
His KCSE results sparked excitement on social media with some trolling him for dismal performance.
Speaking to Nairobi News, his mum, Irma Sofia Sakwa has blasted KOT to stop the troll and keep calm, hinting that her son has done well.“I don’t know why my son is attracting such fake attention on Twitter,” she said.
She added that the results would be posted on Trio’s social media pages.
“Ambia KOT watulie (Tell KOT to chill and relax). We are printing and releasing the results for you in due time. So guys, keep calm. Stop writing the bullsh*t and garbage about my son,” she said.
Events organizer Chris Kirwa also said that Trio will be employing the ‘A’ students in a few year’s time.
“In a few years’ time, Trio Mio will employ top A students as his managers. Soon!” Chris Kirwa.
However, just before KCSE results were released, Trio himself psychologically prepared his fans for dismal results through a video where he was seen rapping.
The teen rapper admitted in his freestyle that he didn’t grasp anything in school noting that he was an academic dwarf but he was also a music giant.
“Dimba sijawaikuwa starting team, mbuku sishiki nothing in, but kitu inaitwa mziki mimi ni mwalimu mkuu na marking scheme,” he raps in the 2-minute video.
“Ka topic ni success niko na A kwa school of life, ile KNEC watanipea haitawai determine food ya mine… Nyi wote mngekuwa na A mngekuwa ma civil engineer, mnapigania kuget position mtoi wa mkuu anaorganiziwa,” he added.
