“Do you want to pay my university fees?” Trio Mio expresses anger over questions about his KCSE results

Trio Mio insists he will not succumb to pressure to publicize his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results.

The rapper has remained tight-lipped about his KCSE performance even as interviewers and Kenyans at large pile pressure on him to reveal the grade he attained.

Speaking during an interview with YouTuber Nicholas Kioko after landing in the country from a concert in Dubai, Trio Mio asked if those concerned about the results want to pay his college fees.

The teenage rapper added that he is popular because of his music and not because of how he performed in class.

“I didn’t refuse to publicize my results. Focus on your life. Do you want to pay my university fees, stop that. You didn’t know me because of my class performance you knew me because of music and I am good at what I do. It is my life. Sipangwingwi,” he said.

There was a lot of speculation about the rapper’s grade ever since Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu released KCSE results on Friday, January 20, 2023.

Rumours ran rife that Trio Mo attained a mean grade of D in the 2022 KCSE exams.

The teen rapper came out to speak about KCSE results hours after social media was abuzz with unconfirmed reports about his dismal performance.

Trio sat for KCSE last year at Kitanga Boys High School – a private Secondary School located in Machakos Town Constituency.
