Jokate Kidoti Mwegelo is the youngest and prettiest District Commissioner (DC) in Tanzania. The 32-year-old was appointed DC in July 2018 by Tanzania’s President John Pombe Magufuli.
Before she became a government administrator, Jokate was all over Tanzanian showbiz having been a model and an actress for many years.
Jakate shot to fame in 2006 when she contested Miss Tanzania beauty pageant, she emerged as 2nd runner-up in the pageant which was won by her friend-turned-foe Wema Sepetu.
Jokate boasts of several accomplishment, in 2017 she was included in Forbes’ 30 under 30 in Africa and was also named by Africa Youth Awards among 100 Most Influential Young Africans.
