Nigerians have been the worst hit by xenophobic violence recently witnessed in cities across South Africa. Tiwa Savage has decided to cancel her upcoming Johannesburg show in solidarity with her compatriots who are victims of xenophobic.
Several Nigerians living and working in South Africa have had their businesses burned and looted whereas others have been killed in the surge of xenophobic violence.
Nigerian musicians including Burna Boy, YCee, Tiwa Savage among others have come out to condemn xenophobic attacks on their compatriots living in South Africa.

Tiwa Savage on her part has decided to cancel her upcoming Johannesburg show in solidarity with Nigerians living in South Africa.
The Nigerian songstress was slated to perform at DSTV Delicious Festival which is due to take place at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand, Johannesburg on 21 and 22 September 2019.
Announced her decision on Twitter, Tiwa Savage tweeted;
“I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason, I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on 21 September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”
