Times Tower held the title ‘Kenya’s tallest building’ for 15 year but now the crown has gone to a new skyscraper in Nairobi.

Times Tower which stands 140 meters tall has been dwarfed by UAP Old Mutual Tower located in Upper Hill.

Kenya’s tallest building now has a height of 163 meters making it the third tallest skyscraper in the African continent.

UAP Old Mutual Tower was officially opened for business yesterday. The 33-storey skyscraper offers 300,000 square feet of Grade-A office space and 25,000 square feet of retail space. 50 per cent of the building has already been occupied.

But all is not lost for Times Tower; Even though UAP Old Mutual Tower is taller than Times Tower, it only has 33 floors compared to Times Towers’ 38 floors.
