TID was the bomb when I was in high school. The guy came out with such great hits as ‘Zeze’, ‘Siamini’ and ‘Sura Yako’. This guy had the stature of Diamond as he is today. A veteran who introduced many of the masses to Tanzanian music.
TID is also friends with Prezzo having collaborated on the song “Leo ndio leo” before. The two have maintained a friendship since those heady days when they were atop the East African charts. So apparently Prezzo has been spending time recently with Tanzanian socialite Amber Lulu.
There are rumours that she had sneaked into El Presidentes hotel room for what exactly? I have my ideas. And this has made his very good friend get concerned. See, according to TID Lulu is to be handled with gloves, preferably thick gloves while interacting with her. This is a really good friend if you ask me. This is what he said:
“Prezzo kula bata mwanangu fanya mambo na amber Lulu, Prezzo pole sana jiongeze mtu wangu, tumia mpira (condom) ya gharama zaidi ambayo hujawahi kutumia kabla, kwa sababu sehemu unayokwenda ni moto.
However Prezzo did not appreciate the manner in which the advice was meted out. He would have preferred a one on one conversation between him and his “brother”. This is how he responded when informed of what he had said.
“Namshangaa mshkaji wangu, kuna watu huwa wananiingia kwa kona mbaya, ukiingia kwa kona mbaya mimi ni msela nitakuzingua, kitu ambacho sijafurahia ni kwenda kutangaza kwenye TV, yeye ni mshkaji wangu angenipigia simu akaniambia, na sio kuniharibia ‘mood’ yangu.”
Whatever you think about the manner in which TID gave out the advice, what TID said was wisdom. But let us not be hypocrites and not forget that Prezzo also has a checkered sexual history himself. If I was LuLu I would also insist that he wears a C.D too. But what do I know anyway?
