The Kansoul which comprises Mejja, Madtraxx, Kid Kora pulled up a surprise record on us by releasing a song with a South African feel in it. Their new song ‘PIKOKO Lithim’ has some Kwaito(a music genre that emerged in Johannesburg, South Africa, during the 1990s) feel to it from the beat, the beat sounds like a beat that Heavy K, Babes Wodumo, Distruction Boyz or Dj Tira would jump on to but they nailed it altogether and that’s the main point of musical versatility, they have proved they are a versatile group in a competitive industry today by making a music inspired from the South African Kwaito genre.
The ‘Pikoko Lithim'(which I honestly don’t know what it means) single is a feel-good music that captures you as soon as you hear it and you want to listen to it even more, the cameo for the music video is very interesting as we see a dancer dressed in an African regalia dancing to the shaku dance rather than twerking as we are accustomed to in my music videos.
Watch the music video for ‘Pikoko Lithim’ by Kid Kora, Mejja and Madtraxx or popularly known as The Kansoul since 2014.
