Khaligraph Jones is a gifted story teller who knows how to tell his stories through the help of music and in the recent past we have seen him open up about his come up in the music industry which Kristoff was a part of.
Quite recently he jumped on KRS One’s beats for ‘ Some People Act Like They don’t know’ as produced by DJ Premier to deliver one of the epic freestyles the game has ever seen, he did that while carrying his daughter.
Khaligraph Jones this time round decided to jump on R. Kelly’s produced track dubbed ‘When a Woman Is Fed’ to give one of the best stories yet about how abusing drugs can mess up your future.
Khaligraph talked about a certain ‘friend’ of his when he was still in high school who pretty much aced in every subjects in the school’s curriculum called Bonnie who was a bright student that everybody saw major prospect of becoming the next “Jimmy Wanjingi”
“… bright student yeah a nice dude, very social, he was making all the right moves, a humble nxgga, chilled out na alikuwa na vibes true. The teachers used to like him, he was top in the class and when I scored Es” Khaligraph Jones rapped about Bonnie in part.
Everything was already laid up for Bonnie who already had his future plans figured out when most students didn’t even know their next moves after high school.
Sadly, the good ole, well performing Bonnie indulged in substance abuse when he enrolled in the University where he was partying each and every other day and also participating in pre-marital sex at the campus.
Allegedly, Khaligraph Jones learned all of these things when Bonnie pulled out a knife trying to rob him out of his belongings which he didn’t manage to do since OG is the OG.
Check out the full lyrics of Khaligraph Jones’ short tell-all song about his friend, Bonnie and watch the short song to its entirely as performed by the OG himself.
…
kuna huyu boy anaitwa Bonnie
nilimjua nikiwa high school
chopi kwa daro
bright student
yeah a nice dude
very social
he was making all the right moves
a humble nxgga
chilled out
na alikuwa na vibes true
the teachers used to like him
he was top in the class
and when I scored Es
he was getting As on Math
and all the other sujbects
Bonnie alikuwa hatari
it’s either angekuwa Pilot, Engineer ama daktari
mi nilikuwa rapper tu
chuo nilienda ju ilibidi
but Bonnie was destined kufika ligi ya Jimmy Wanjigi
he had his future figured out
something I admire
sikuwa chopi ka Bonnie
lakini aliniinspire
and come K.C.S.E
he passed as expected
got an A but still he was calm and collected
we celebrated Bonnie
later tukapart ways
and I never saw Bonnie jo kutoka that day
until five years later
nikiwa raundi tu mjini
some punka*s nxgga
akanichomolea mpini
akiniambia lala chini
toa simu na ganji
nikadinda nikamshow
buda una wazimu na bangi
utasanyia aje OG
men, that hella silly bruh
that’s when I noticed
buda, hii sura si ni familiar
men huyu si ni Bonnie
ndio pia akani-notice
at 24 alikuwa anakaa ni ka ako mid forties
and then I asked him
what happened? mbona hivi?
and then he told me that
since things hasn’t been easy
akanishow vile life imemkalia chapati
vile alijoin Campo
alianza mihadarati
he was hella happy
kushiriki ngwati
na kila wikendi ilikuwa party after party
but party after party lazima ikuwe na madhara
ka haujajipanga vifreshi
nikungoja tu hasara
he later got kicked out
dropped out of Uni
life inamlipisha
after raha za utamaduni
now he’s jobless, homeless, broke na ako depressed
he feels worthless ju life yake iko in a mess
I felt for him
but there’s nothing I could’ve done
other than kumpeleka Sonford
na kumnunulia lunch
nikampatia punch
and I wished him all the best
am just hoping that wherever he is
that nxgga’s blessed
hope you changed your ways bro
manze Bonnie manze
hope uko fiti saa hii gadhe
vijana acheni mihadarati manze ni mbaya
Stivo Simple Boy si aliwaambia
vijana acheni mihadarati manze noma
