The terrorist attack in Mogadishu that happened this past weekend was probably the worst on African soil. The explosion targeted a busy street, killing 231 people and injuring 275, in what is believed to be Somalia’s single deadliest attack ever. The attack has left the street it was done in thoroughly devastated and in serious straits. The images you are about to see are both heartbreaking and a testament to human courage at a time of extreme sorrow. The heroism seen by the first responders and the general citizenry is evident in them. Note that some of the images may contain graphic content:
