Tecra Muigai who is the daughter of Kenyan billionaires Joseph and Tabitha Karanja of Keroche Breweries passed on a few weeks ago and after an official autopsy, her cause of death has finally been revealed.
Chief Government Pathologist, Johansen Oduor led the team conducting the autopsy on Tuesday, May 12 at the Nairobi’s Lee Funeral Home.
The autopsy results have revealed that Tecra succumbed to injuries sustained on the left side of her head.
According to a statement that Tecra’s boyfriend, Omar Lali told the detectives on May 4, 2020, she had allegedly fallen down a flight of stairs at their private home in Shela, Lamu where they were living together, Lali went further that he was sleeping on the couch that night.

Omar Lali is still in police custody to this day.
Experts who were present during the autopsy are expected to meet doctors who attended to Tecra from the Nairobi Hospital, where she had been admitted before she died.
The experts are expected to study the Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) scans that had been captured at the hospital.
There will be blood and urine tests done to establish if by any chance that there was any presence of alcohol or any other substance in her system before she fell down the flight of stairs in Lamu.
Tecra Muigai will be laid to rest in a private burial ceremony in Naivasha that will be attended by family and close friends.
“The Family of Tecra wishes to thank friends from far and wide for the deep outpouring of heartfelt condolences. Tecra’s interment will be held at a private family ceremony,” read part of the obituary in a media advert.
Prior to her untimely death on May 2, 2020, Tecra was the Strategy and Innovation Director at Keroche Breweries.
