Otile Brown finally dropped his debut studio album dubbed ‘Just In Love’ which is named after his record label and management company that once had two flagship artistes; himself and Jovial.
The Mombasa-raised R&B and Swahili-singing musician who is well respected, celebrated and loved in equal measures not only in Kenya but across the East African region has a project of his own, finally and it has been a long way coming.
Otile Brown officially released the project exclusively on the number one African streaming portal, Boomplay and since he released it exclusively on the platform, it has been streamed over 500,000 times in less than one week.
Currently, the ‘Just In Love’ studio album sits at number 9 most-streamed album in Singapore on Deezer streaming platform while five of the songs off the project are currently on the top 10 songs in the country on the Top 100 Kenyans songs on Boomplay.
This is what success really looks like when it comes to the music business, and it’s rather poetic for Otile Brown to have such a well-performing studio album which happens to be his first-ever project.
On the ‘Just In Love’ project, Otile Brown features five features on the 10-track studio album coming from Kidum, Khaligraph Jones, Jux, Meddy, and Mejja.
The ‘Just In Love’ studio album is one of the best-curated projects released this year, it’s short and sweet and it has everything for everybody.
The project also has a reggae tune on it on the ‘Umedamshi’ record that doesn’t have a feature.
