Stop The Nonsense James Orengo!Kenyans Shame The Siaya Senator #ShameOnOrengo

CORD’s James Orengo has been sharply criticised for apparently using a man suffering from a skin disease to seek sympathy for the Post-Election Violence (PEV) victims.

The Opposition is accused of parading one Bernard Ndege who suffers from Vitiligo – an ailment that causes skin discolouration – during the Saturday rally in Kibera, Nairobi, and insinuating that he got burnt during the 2007/2008 post-election chaos.

Images of Mr Ndege being paraded by Siaya Senator James Orengo sparked an online storm with many faulting the alleged mode of seeking attention.

CORD had resorted to holding a parallel rally at Kibera while their Jubilee counterparts were at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru for a thanksgiving ceremony to celebrate the termination of ICC cases against Kenyan leaders.

A journalist alluded to having interviewed Mr Ndege, who confessed he suffered from Vitiligo in 2002, but disclosed that he lost his entire family in Naivasha during PEV.

However, what has irked many is the attempt to insinuate that his skin discolouration was a result of burns he sustained during the post-election skirmishes.

Mr Ndege is reported to have previously admitted that he was not in the house when his family got burnt.

Reason Kenyans are shaming senator James Orengo online.
