Wema Sepetu collapsed while celebrating her birthday party on Sunday night September 29th. The Bongo actress turned 31 on September 28th.
Wema’s private birthday party was held at her sister Nuru Sepetu’s home in Mbezi Beach Dar es Salaam. The actress gave her family members and friends a scare after she collapsed during the party.
Attempts to revive her failed and she was rushed to the nearest hospital where she was treated and discharged. Apparently this is the third time that Wema has collapsed in the recent past.
There are rumors that the Bongo actress is deliberately starving herself to maintain a lean figure. Wema has lost so much weight and she is reportedly refusing to eat for fear that she might add weight.
A source close to Wema who spoke to Global Publishers however rubbished claims that the actress is starving herself. The source said that Wema collapsed because she was exhausted after having a busy day and partying all night.
“Unajua Wema alikuwa na furaha iliyopitiliza na wakati wote hakupenda kukaa wala kufanya chochote, badala yake alikuwa akipita huku na huku kuzungumza na rafiki zake ndipo alipojisikia vibaya na kudondoka kisha kuzimia ambapo ilibidi akimbizwe hospitalini kwa huduma ya kwanza ambapo aligundulika alikuwa na presha ya kushuka,” said the source.
