Sounds Of War Drumbeats As The Race For Nairobi Gubernatorial Seat Gets Ugly

2 mins read

The race for Nairobi gubernatorial seat will be as tough as the presidential race. Governor Evans Kidero will defend his seat against the likes of Mike Sonko, Johnson Sakaja, Eugene Walamwa among others who have expressed interest of succeeding him.

But the Nairobi gubernatorial seat has taken a tribal dimension. This was after a section of Jubilee leaders endorsed Eugene Wamalwa as their candidate for Nairobi gubernatorial race.

Kiambu leaders quickly opposed the move with some claiming a Kikuyu should be the next governor of Nairobi.

Keyboard warriors are also warmongering on social media with the like of Robert Alai claiming that people must shed blood to dislodge governor Kidero.

Below is Alai’s post:

When the likes of Waititu fronted the idea that Kikuyu’s must take over NAIROBI, they were asked if they were aware that the original owners of Nairobi were Maasais. They didn’t speak again.

So they have played with an idea of now not fronting a Kikuyu candidate to “take back” NAIROBI but sponsor other mules to dilute the votes of the non Kikuyu horses. So despite being a favorite, Aonko is not on their list of the real candidates.

The real candidate of the Kiambu Mafia is Waweru. Hawa we gone or just pigs being led to the slaughter. I can tell you what Wamalwa is and why he was fronted. Same with Sakaja. They are going nowhere.

Since the most foolish mules are Sakaja, Miguna and Wamalwa, they are now their songs. These taka takas are going nowhere. They don’t have the mind, means and guts to campaign in Nairobi and win the seats.

When the campaigns are launched, you will know the real candidates. Despite disappointing in many areas, you will shed blood to dislodge Evans Kidero. We are aware of the electronic rigging deployed to dethrone him. Still, you will have to shed blood if you want to replace Kidero.
