Carrol Sonnie recently shed light on the relationship between comedian Mulamwah and their nearly three-year-old daughter, Keilah.
Sonnie offered a glimpse into the dynamics of their co-parenting situation during an interview with Jeff Kuria where addressed persistent rumors and public curiosity.
When asked by Jeff Kuria about her current relationship with Mulamwah and whether she had allowed him to see their daughter, Sonnie responded with a laugh.
“My relationship with my daughter is good. Her relationship with him is the same,” she stated, initially leaving some ambiguity.
Jeff pressed for more clarity, asking specifically about the relationship between Keilah and her father.
Sonnie reiterated, “It’s okay,” but Jeff continued to seek a more definitive answer.
Finally, Sonnie confirmed, “It’s fine,” firmly denying any suggestion that there was lingering animosity.
Sonnie also addressed the backlash she faced online after previously denying Mulamwah access to their child.
Reflecting on that difficult period, she shared, “Yes, I think as a human being you get angry and make quick decisions. In relation to the child, those are things he knows. He knows what he did, he knows what he is doing, and he knows what he has to do.”
She revealed the emotional challenges she faced after giving birth, including feelings of rejection and the intense scrutiny both she and her child endured.
“At that time I gave birth, my child was two months old. You go through rejection, bullying, your child is bullied, your child is denied,” Sonnie said.
Despite involving their parents in an attempt to reach an agreement, the two were unable to resolve their differences at the time.
However, Sonnie has since moved on and is now in a new relationship. She expressed happiness in finding love again and is focused on building her personal brand.
As Sonnie continues to navigate the complexities of co-parenting in the public eye, her story resonates with many who have faced similar challenges.
The public’s interest in her personal life underscores the ongoing fascination with the private lives of public figures and the pressures they face.
