Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has lost his Facebook page with over 2.5 million followers after LGBTQ members reported him for hating them.
Sonko irked homosexuals with his constant criticisms of homosexuality since the Supreme Court ruling that allowed the registration of LGBTQ groups.
Homosexuals have been reporting Sonko’s anti-LGBTQ posts on Facebook prompting the social media site to issue him with multiple strikes before ultimately deleting his account.
A resilient Sonko however vowed not to be deterred by the Facebook gag as he vowed to continue fighting against homosexuality.
Sonko in a tweet said that LGBTQ members want him to apologise to them before Facebook can reconsider his appeal to restore his account.
However, Sonko stated that he would rather lose his Facebook account completely than apologize to LGBTQ members.
“Hawa masonga wa LGBTQ wako na nguvu. Wamecomplain to FB mpaka my page of 2,500,000 followers ikakuwa disabled till I apologise to them then appeal to FB. I can’t & will not apologise to them. Hapa tweeter muko 2,300,000 followers & still growing like Bush fire. ALLUTA CONTINUA,” Sonko tweeted.
