Somizi made the entire talking all about him but more specifically the signature shoe that he collaborated with the local shoe brand Ubuthu, the kicks were dubbed the ‘Bathu x Somizi’.
After the unveiling of the stellar, beautiful sneakers that come in four different colorways, fans couldn’t wait to get ahold of the sneakers once they were rolled out in the retail market.
Fans and believers of Somizi Mhlongo buying his sneakers is all good, appreciated, and not taken for granted, I mean there’s no way anyone could.
However, what caught the attention of Somizi was close friends of his who surprised him by one friend ordering 30 pairs and the other one buying 10 pairs of the ‘Bathu x Somizi’ sneakers.
The most important and rather interesting bit of all this information is that the friends that Somizi didn’t tag on his social media posts(probably they liked it that way, being behind the scenes and all) bought the shoes for their staff members.
Somizi unveils collaboration sneakers with Bathu, ‘Bathu X Somizi‘
Somizi was taken aback by this gesture so much so that he just had to share how glad, happy, excited, and lucky to have such friends who believe in him and his venture so much so that they bought the ‘Bathu X Somizi’ sneakers at their original retail price of R1800 without asking for any discounts whatsoever.
This means that his friends collectively spent R72,000 on the ‘Bathu X Somizi’ sneakers in a single day. These are friends that indeed are friends who are actually a blessing”
“Friends like these are a blessing…..two of my close friends just bought 30 and 10 pairs of my #bathuxsomizi pairs for their staff members…..at full price…..sneakers are available at all @bathu_sa stores nationwide at R1800 per pair….thanks for making this a success” Somizi shared on social media.
