Sokoro was a big name in Kenya’s rap music back in the early 2000s and he was set to take over the national rap scene with authority since he had all the resources to enable him to achieve just that.
Sokoro who also went by another moniker, Sokoro Mombasani had numerous hits under his belt among them was his self-titled record which soon became an anthem both in Mombasa and Nairobi.
That being said, most people are scratching the back of their heads in bewilderment asking where he might have gone wrong to throw away a rather promising music career in rap music that saw him, in the end, walking in tattered clothes in Mombasa streets being a drug fiend.
Apparently, the talented rapper, in a moment of weakness decided to indulge in hard drugs, and with that his downfall was inevitable, he allegedly lost contact with his close friend and relatives with some of them not knowing exactly where he was at any given time.
At the height of his rap career, Sokoro was signed under Tabasamu Records being a colleague to Skani, Cannibal, Prince Adio, and even Bedbug who were signed on the same record.
Sokoro had it all since every star was aligned in his favor and he was destined to be the next big thing in the rap scene to take over the Kenyan entertainment scene.
Recently, the former hip hop powerhouse, Sokoro who was known for hits like ‘Mombasani’ and ‘Sokoro’ and many others was spotted dilapidated in the streets.
In the photo that has since gone viral on social media, Sokoro seems to have lost weight and unkempt and not a former shadow of his former self.
The rapper was in rugs at an undisclosed kiosk at Mombasa County telling anybody who cared to listen that he was once one of the biggest rap artiste to ever come from Mombasa County.
