Smallz Lethal, a veteran rapper, respected Kenyan artiste and activist who is believed to be the force behind bringing together Octopizzo and Khaligraph Jones a few years ago got the entire country talking about him.
Smallz Lethal who is originally from Kisii and representing the County in most if not all of his songs released one of the hardest, hottest songs calling out politicians in the Kisii County government.
Lethal wasn’t short of words explaining through the ‘I’m Offended’ song how the politicians were misusing the public funds for their own benefit and even called a few of them out using their own names.
Approximately around 1600hrs yesterday, Smallz Lethal was arrested in Kisii at his apartment by both plain-clothes and uniformed Police officers and taken into custody for interrogation at Kisii Police Station.
Smallz Lethal was informed while in custody that he was under custody at the aforementioned Police station that he was to remain in custody for defaming Governor James Ongwae through his Rap video commentary dubbed ‘I’m Offended’ on the corruption in Kisii county.

The security forces demanded that he delete the now-viral Rap video from YouTube in exchange for an unspecified amount of money that included the cost of making the video.
Smallz Lethal declined the offer.
In the ‘I’m Offended’ music video the artist questions the bad state of roads in Kisii, glaring shortfalls in money allocated for the roads, sports stadium, and Daraja Mbili market.
The artiste also questions the reallocation of an Arts Center in Kisii town to a church, among other items.
In the well thought and entertaining Rap Video, Smallz encourages the youth to stand up against corruption and concludes by urging politicians to serve their citizens properly when in office.
Smallz Lethal has since been released.
