Rapper Stevo Simple Boy has reignited his feud with KRG the Don by criticizing his support for the controversial Finance Bill 2024.
The bill, which was rejected by President Ruto after passing in parliament, has been widely opposed by the entertainment and arts industry.
Many artistes took to the streets to protest against it before Ruto slammed the breaks.
In a recent statement, Stevo Simple Boy expressed his disappointment with KRG the Don, accusing him of betraying his fellow artistes and the nation.
“KRG is my friend, but what he did was not good. He has wronged us as artistes by supporting the Finance Bill. As a patriot, he should have stood with his fellow Kenyans,” Stevo said.
Stevo further urged KRG to apologize to Kenyans and his fellow artistes.
“KRG, what you have done is not cool. You should first apologize to Kenyans, and your accounts will be returned. Post an apology video, go to an interview, apologize, and join Gen Z in apologizing.”
Stevo also emphasized that even renowned artistes participated in the protest against the bill, questioning KRG’s absence.
“Big artistes like Khaligraph came out to protest. If they can do it, why not KRG? Yes, he is big, but he has not yet reached my level. On a scale of one to 10, I give him a 5. He still has a long way to go,” Stevo added.
The ongoing feud between Stevo Simple Boy and KRG the Don highlights the deep divisions within Kenya’s entertainment industry over the finance bill and its impact on artistes.
