Catherine Kamau aka Kate Actress parted ways with Philip Karanja after five years of marriage.

The two jointly announced the end of their marriage in a statement issued on September 19, 2023.

“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” the two stated.

Bonfire Adventures CEO Simon Kabu talked about the challenges in marriages after Kate and Phil, who were his close friends, got divorced.

Speaking to SPM Buzz, Kabu admitted that marriage is very difficult but he also said that when a couple understands each other, marriage can be sweeter than anything else.

“First of all, marriage matters are difficult, you hear people say that two people covered with one blanket, don’t say anything about them. Now there is an emotional side to that but the truth is that marriage is sweet,” he said.

“I say that because my wife Sarah and I work together and we walk with her everywhere and we stay together. Therefore, you should be understanding, do not enter into marriage thinking that your partner will not make a mistake, he will make a mistake. But if he makes a mistake, do you always allow him to come? They say people who play together stay together but these days we say people who travel together stay together,” Kabu added happily.

Kabu said that many people start experiencing challenges especially when they are blessed by God especially in terms of wealth.

The entrepreneur advised that in marriage it’s communication that matters the most.

“Discussion is the most important thing in marriage, there is nothing else. Understanding and reading your partner, you forgive him and you talk, and if you are forgiven, don’t repeat the mistakes. Most of the things that people disagree with are the little things, not the big things. But if you understand each other, it will be fine,” he said.
