Socialite Vera Sidika is embracing her new single life with zest, recently throwing a lavish divorce party that has taken social media by storm.

The mother of two shared exuberant videos from the event, igniting a wave of mixed reactions among her followers.

The spectacle has led some fans to question the authenticity of her marriage to singer Brown Mauzo, speculating if the union was ever genuine.

In response to these doubts, Vera decisively silenced her skeptics by publicly sharing her marriage certificate, confirming the legitimacy of her marriage.

Faced with claims that her marriage to Mauzo was a mere ploy to have children, Vera took to social media to clear the air. She addressed her critics directly, expressing frustration at the baseless accusations.

“Why would I lie about being legally married? Like, is there a reward for marriage that would make me lie about it?” Vera wrote.

She explained that her marriage was a private affair, conducted without the knowledge of her parents, who were unaware due to the absence of a formal wedding ceremony.

“My parents didn’t know I got married because we didn’t do a wedding ceremony. We did Nikkah with the Sheikh, and he is well-known in Kenya. It happened so randomly and so fast,” she elaborated.

Vera also addressed and refuted allegations that she used Mauzo solely to have children. She emphatically stated, “You were never in the marriage to know what happened so hush!! If I wanted kids ata (even a) sperm bank iko nazo (would have been an option). With zero baby daddy drama. And I wouldn’t need to waste three years of my life married just to get kids!”

To reinforce her statements, Vera showcased what she claimed to be a verified marriage certificate of their union, which was conducted under Muslim rites.

According to the certificate, Vera and Mauzo were married for three years.

“Everyone with this mentality let me make it clear to you,” she declared, putting to rest any doubts about her marital status.
