Sho Madjozi’s new song ‘John Cena’ is currently trending on YouTube in Kenya and Tanzania. The South African songbird has wowed East Africans with her fluent Swahili.
Sho released ‘John Cena’ on YouTube on Thursday August 15th 2019. The song is currently trending 44th on YouTube in Kenya, and has garnered over 100k views in less than 24 hours.
East Africans have been wowed by Sho’s Swahili lyrics. The South African singer sung her song in near perfect Swahili like it’s her first language.
Unlike most non-Swahili speaking people who would have difficult time pronouncing some words, Sho was simply flawless in her pronunciation of Swahili words, perhaps even better than many Swahili speaking musicians.
Sho Madjozi’s ‘John Cena’ song is her second Swahili hit song after she released her very first Swahili hit song dubbed ‘Huku’ a couple of years ago which has since regarded as one of her best records yet and her latest release ‘John Cena’ will clearly win over some Swahili-speaking fans for her especially across the east African region who predominantly speak Swahili as language of communication.
Sho Madjozi who released one of the best albums last year dubbed ‘Limpopo Champions League’ really impressed with her latest record ‘John Cena’ where she even does vosho in the cameo as she rocks pink Nike Cortez.
The ‘John Cena’ record got the entire east African community talking about Sho Madjozi, maybe Diamond Platnumz will get wind of it and probably open doors for a future collaboration between them since Simba already worked with yet another successful South African artiste, AKA a couple of years ago.
Sing along Sho Madjozi’s ‘John Cena’ with the lyrics: Sho Madjozi – John Cena Lyrics
Quotable lyrics she sang fluently in Swahili
Unajifanya hunioni
labda mi ni John Cena
ulinifanya mfungwa wako
labda mi ni Madiba
sina plans
sina cash
labda pesa mi sina
and ndio maana unani-treati
nikama nimekuibia
lakini mi nimekupenda though
I don’t know why you treat me like a criminal
eish!
we were just together though
