Shatta Wale is as controversial as they come in the entertainment industry, especially in the music industry.
He might be controversial alright but when it boils down to his money, he doesn’t play at all.
That might be the reason why the self-proclaimed King of Dancehall music asked the government to pay him and his colleagues Stonebwoy, Sarkodie for them to take the vaccine publicly.
He believes this will give hope and faith to his Shatta Movement who follows almost everything he does and tells them to do.
He is also open to doing it for free just for the love of the beautiful mother Ghana to set leadership example.
It’s true, Shatta Wale has one of the loyal fanbases in Africa, he even has a name for them ‘Shatta Movement’ just like rapper AKA has a name for his loyal fanbase where he calls them ‘Megacy’.
“I wish our government will let me and my colleagues like Medikal, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy set that leadership example to our fans in this COVID times. This one just noko fioo. We will also do it just for the love of mother Ghana 3y3 a munkai y3n wai. #1GH,” Shatta Movement boss wrote on Twitter.

Just the other day, President Nana Akufo-Addo, the Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia together with their spouses took the COVID-19 vaccine publicly to prove that it isn’t harmful as it’s been made out to be.
M.O.G Beatz calls out Shatta Wale on social media for refusing to pay him
Other high-profile leaders and citizens notwithstanding the former President John Mahama, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II have both taken the vaccine publicly to prove the same narrative that the President is trying to denounce for the sake of the citizens.
This was the first batch of the 600,000 COVID-19 vaccines that arrived in the country the other day.
There are already plans in the pipeline to distribute the AstraZeneca vaccines in the country’s coronavirus hotspots; Greater Accra, Ashanti regions, Western are already in place.
A list of areas in Greater Accra designated for the COVID-19 vaccination has also been released by the Regional Directorate of the Ghana Health Service.
