ICYMI Senator James Orengo met up with Mbogi Genje

A few months ago, Siaya Senator and established Advocate James Orengo took to social media to shower praises on one of the best and sought-after Gengetone artistes and rappers in Kenya today, Mbogi Genje.

Back in July this year, the outspoken Senator was in Ndakaini in Murang’a County for the Skiza thanksgiving ceremony where he told his followers on social media that he appreciates the good thing Mbogi Genje is doing in the music industry in Kenya.

He even noted that their collaboration record with Khaligraph Jones dubbed ‘Warena’ is one of his favorite songs.

“I’m currently in Ndakaini, Murang’a County for the Skiza thanksgiving ceremony, I quickly remember this group of young Kenyans Mbogi Genje, who are doing a wonderful job. Their latest hit featuring Khaligraph Jones titled Warena is greatly artistic. Music made in Kenya,” James Orengo’s tweet that he sent out on July 27 read.

As fate would have it, James Orengo and Mbogi Genje would meet a month later after sending out the now-viral tweet.

Senator Orengo met up with them on September 3rd, 2021 where he was clearly happy to have met them officially and exchanged a few words where he promised to always support them with everything they do through their music.

Guzman Teddy, one-third member of the Mbogi Genje wasn’t able to attend the meeting but he was well represented by Smady Tings and Militan Govana who were present to meet up with the respected politician and Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

“Mbogi Genje wamemuok na wakanipeleka na rieng’. Our artists play a key role in our society and I will always endeavor to support them. Hawa wagenje ni warena,” Senator James Orengo shared on Twitter on September 3rd 2o21.

Mbogi Genje which comprise of Smady Tings real name Anthony Odhiambo, Guzman Teddy real name Teddy Ochieng and Militan Govana real name Malaka Yuen has since captured the attention of a lot of celebrities and politicians in Kenya today having already impressed the former Nairobi County governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko, Huddah Monroe, Khaligraph Jones, just to name a few celebrities.
