Seasoned sports journalist and commentator Sean Cardiovillis who collapsed and died last Saturday, was cremated at the Hindu Crematorium in Kariakor, Nairobi.
Sean was cremated on Thursday early afternoon September 14, 2023, at a private event.
His family has further announced that there will be a memorial service next week on Friday, 22 September, at the Consolata Shrine Catholic Church in Westlands, Nairobi.
However, Cardiovillis’ family did not share the postmortem report that captured the journalist’s sudden death.
Cardovillis, who has been in the radio and television journalism industry in this country for a long time, was reported to have died early Saturday morning September 9, 2023, at his residence in Westlands, Nairobi.
At the time of his death, Cardovillis was a sports presenter at Capital FM, with a career spanning several decades.
Although his employer did not release details about his illness, they noted that for the past four years, Sean had been suffering from poor health, and had been in and out of the hospital.
