Savara Mudigi has come forward to narrate his horrific encounter with SARS(Special Anti-Robbery Squad) in Nigeria that almost cost his life.
The member of Sauti Sol shared his experience with the special unit in the Nigerian police force that has brought about international awareness of the same.

On the shooting of the official music video for Sauti Sol’s ‘Suzanna’, Savara opted to have a breather and decided to go to the club to unwind and blow some steam off but what he didn’t prepare for was meeting up with the deadly police unit, SARS.

Savara Mudigi even confessed that that experience with SARS was the worst experience with any authority in the world, mark you, Savara is well-traveled.
“Many of you might not know this but I have had a personal experience with SARS.” Savara Mudigi’s statement read in part.
“I had traveled to Lagos to shoot the video for Susanna and after the shoot, I decided to go listen to bangers in the club. BIG MISTAKE!!!.
On the way to the club, our vehicle was stopped by SARS. They forced us out of the car and told us to lie on the ground. Being foreigners, Mzwa and I heavily prayed for our lives.
All I heard was the sound of guns being cocked. I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for the few dollars I had in my pocket.
That’s one of my worst experiences with authority. I felt like a terrorist. Sad to see my blood turning against each other. END SARS IMMEDIATELY PLEASE” the official statement concluded.
