Sauti Sol has released a post-event statement in response to apparent dissatisfaction among concertgoers during their #SolFest2022 performance on Saturday at the KICC.
The headliners of the event, Sauti Sol, reportedly took the stage on Sunday at around 3 AM and performed for less than an hour, leaving the majority of their fans disappointed. As a result, the event faced criticism.
“Our intention was to put on a spectacular event, ensuring each artist and group received enough time to deliver their very best performances to all fans. We also put more focus on the local talent who were performing, and our international guests.
We acknowledge that this may have led to some unfortunate delays in keeping the show running in a timely fashion and would like to reassure all our fans and supporters that we will plan better for this in the future.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out in large numbers, endured the long queues, braved the long night to show us love and support. It is with you and for you that we are able to build bigger and better platforms for African talent.”
Sauti Sol, promises their supporters that future events and shows would be bigger and better.
The boy band has stated that #SolFest is primarily a platform putting more spotlight on the artists invited to perform and not simply Sauti Sol while appreciating Kenyans for attending the event in big numbers.
