Sauti Sol scores yet another accolade as their song gets featured on Queen Sono

Sauti Sol’s star continues to shine bright by the day and this time it doesn’t only shine in Kenya, no, it is shining regionally especially after they signed a lucrative deal with Universal Music Group that will see their songs reach a global audience.

The Afro-pop band based in Nairobi, Sauti Sol which comprises of now veteran music maestros; Polycarp Otieno, Willis Chimano, Bien-Aimé Baraza, and Savara Mudigi has landed yet another accolade in their already established musical achievements thus far.

The band took to social media to let the world know that they were a part of African history by being a part of the Crime film, Action fiction, and Thriller, Queen Sono which is a first-ever African series which stars South African multi-talented actor, Pearl Thusi.

Sauti Sol’s original song together with Sho Madjozi and Black Motion is one of the official soundtracks of the historical hit series that has premiered on Netflix international.

Sauti Sol was also among international and regionally acclaimed African artistes like Cassper Nyovest, Nadia Naki, Nasty C and so many others who were at the Queen Sono’s Grand Premiere in South Africa.

Sauti Sol has since become an international brand already having the entire African region singing to their tune thanks to their numerous hit records and working with the best of the best African artistes there is to work with. Sauti Sol’s song that’s on the Queen Sono soundtrack is titled ‘Disco Matanga’ that, of course, has rather interesting features from the two South African established musicians in their own right.

Sauti Sol couldn’t have made Kenyan more proud through their music, accolades, and patriotism.

It’s only fitting to believe that Sauti Sol has already outgrown the Kenyan plateau they had set out for themselves when they were starting out because now the group is officially regarded as a regional group destined to be one of the best international music groups the world has ever seen.
