Sauti Sol held their final performance as a group on November 4, 2023, before they each went their separate ways as the band disintegrated.
Following the split, Sauti Sol’s lead singer Bien quickly launched his solo career.
Bien had been working on his first solo album even as Sauti Sol was in the process of splitting. He has gradually been releasing some of his songs from the new solo album dubbed “Alusa Why Are You Topless?”.
Bien’s debut solo album is slated for a November 17, 2023, release date.
Speaking at an event where Bien released one of his songs from his upcoming solo album, Chimano revealed he was taking a music hiatus following Sauti Sol’s split.
Chimano said he wasn’t quite sure when he would make music comeback as a solo artiste, noting that Sauti Sol’s fans must just wait for some time to see what each individual member will be doing henceforth.
“Chimano is gonna take a bit of a break maybe we will see each other next year. In between just rest and relaxation and thoughts and prayers. Not much, honestly it is sad I am gonna take a break, maybe take a bit of a holiday. Sauti Sol is done, done for now but we are all in our element, we are all working towards what we are going to do and what we are going to become so I guess everybody will just have to wait and see,” Chimano said.
