The Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) Party leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga finally addressed answered Deputy President who said that it was God who stopped the Building Bridges Initiative(BBI) because it was a bad document for Kenyans.
“The downfall of BBI is a reminder for those of us in authority that we cannot use the power we have for selfish reasons to benefit those who already have positions to the disadvantage of millions of citizens who are desperate.
God is reminding us that before we think about our positions and what is important for us as leaders, we must first think about ordinary people,” said Deputy President William Ruto after the ruling.
Raila Odinga is of the contrary opinion believing that it wasn’t God who stopped BBI but Satan himself because the document had nothing but good intentions of Kenyans at heart.
Odinga noted that through the BBI Bill, all counties were going to get more resource allocations to help grow the economy at a County level that will eventually help the country’s economic growth and infrastructure development grow exponentially.
“I have heard some people saying that BBI was stopped by God, which is not true.
Satan is the one who stopped the report because it was a good document, and Satan is the one who always doesn’t want good things to happen to people,” the ODM Party leader Raila Odinga said.
Raila Odinga’s statement was a direct response to Deputy President William Samoei Ruto.
