Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has reiterated his stance on marriage, expressing his desire to wed a busy and submissive woman.
In a recent interview with Betty Kyallo on TV 47, Salasya emphasized the importance of finding a wife who adheres to biblical principles of submission.
According to Salasya, finding a suitable partner has proven challenging due to modern expectations of cohabitation in urban areas like Nairobi. He expressed a preference for a wife who is content to reside in his hometown of Ushangu, rather than relocating to the city.
“I want a wife who understands the concept of submission as outlined in the Bible,” Salasya stated. “Today’s women often prefer to live in Nairobi, whereas I desire a partner who is comfortable staying in ushangu.”
Salasya added that he would prefer to marry a teacher or a banker.
“Someone was advising me to find a teacher or a banker. They are so busy so they don’t stress me out,” remarked Salasya.
He explained that a busy spouse would be less likely to inundate him with messages and demands, allowing him to focus on his duties as a Member of Parliament.
In addition to his preference for a busy and submissive wife, Salasya revealed his intention to marry two or three wives in the future.
He expressed confidence in his ability to provide for their financial needs, suggesting that his desire for multiple spouses stems from the current cold weather, which has prompted thoughts of expanding his family.
Salasya’s candid remarks on marriage reflect his longstanding interest in finding a compatible partner who shares his values and lifestyle preferences. As he continues his search for the ideal wife, Salasya remains committed to traditional values and biblical principles in his quest for marital harmony.
