Cassper Nyovest and Boity were South Africa’s ‘it’ couple. The stars – who’ve known each other since their teen years, were the talk of the town, making people green with envy because of their seemingly perfect relationship.
However, it looks like their romance has fizzled. Well, that’s if our observations are anything to go by. The two have always been more than happy to share details about their relationship but that has suddenly stopped.
Is there trouble in paradise? In one of her interviews, Boity admitted that going public with the relationship was a big mistake. “I had never gone public with a relationship at all. This was the first one.”
While they were the king and queen of last year’s MTV Africa Music Awards red carpet, there was no sight of them together at the recent Metro FM Music Awards.
They were not even seated next to each other during the show. Oh, and we missed the traditional kiss after Cassper won his award. Fans took to Twitter to ask the question on everybody’s lips: are they, or aren’t they?
Boity, who is usually very supportive of the rapper, didn’t even send him a congratulatory tweet. She is usually very proud of her bae’s achievements and wants the world to know.
The last time she dedicated a congratulatory post to him was last year after he won an All Africa Music Award (AFRIMA).
And, while we were expecting the couple to make us jealous on Valentine’s Day – sharing expensive gifts and love notes – there was also none of that. Boity revealed in an interview that she would be spending Valentine’s Day alone. “Work has taken over our lives. It’s like work has become our loves,” she said.
The last time we saw a picture of them together was when Cassper was a guest on Boity’s show ‘Club 808’.
