The lady whose image is posted above was called Lydia Nyaboke Onano. She had gone to meet her new boyfriend in Ng’ong town. She had been having conversations with him and was to meet him for the first time. But sadly it was to be her first and last meeting on this earth.
The truth emerged after she had gone missing for a few days. Her brother suspected foul play and promptly filed a missing persons report with the police. I knew he hoped that she was only missing, but sadly that hope was dashed when the body of an unidentified woman was found in Ng’ong forest next to Lenana school.
The description he gave the police was enough for them to match with the information he had given them. When the man who had killed her was found it emerged that this had been a crime of passion. Apparently when they were spending time together on their first date she had received a call from a man who had called her sweetie.
The man overheard and In a fit of rage he responded by strangling her with her own bra, blouse and shoelaces. Even shoelaces! And I thought the bra was too much! A story like this is not complete without a pearl of wisdom. Never meet a new boyfriend or girlfriend in their home for the first time. Life is too short. Sadly Lydia found this out the worst way.
