Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto has made a solemn promise of accepting the Presidential results ahead of the 2022 Presidential elections if by any chance he does not get the top seat in the Republic.
DP Ruto was speaking during a campaign of his Hustler Movement in Kajiado County, he said that he will accept without challenge the decisions of Kenyans who will vote in another Presidential candidate in 2022 as the new President of the Republic of Kenya.
“When Kenyans decide in 2022, and they decide that it is one of my competitors and not myself, I will accept the verdict of the people of Kenya,” Kenya’s second-in-command stated.
He however urged his competitors vying for the top seat to do the same and respect Kenya’s verdict in the upcoming general elections without challenging the results because he intends to do the same.
“I ask my competitors to do the same and commit themselves to accept the outcome, and not do what they have been doing in the past,” he stated.
William Ruto’s campaign in the recent past has been that of a call for unity in the entire country as part of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA)’s mission. DP Ruto dismissed other political parties save for ODM as ethnic-oriented parties and divisive.
UDA is currently focused on dethroning the first-term incumbent Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku with already two UDA politicians having declared their interest in the Kajiado County top seat.
Kajiado South MP Katoo Ole Metito and Kajiado East Member of Parliament Peris Tobiko have both agreed to go through the UDA party’s primaries peacefully in a bid to avoid fallout.
Ruto promised officially that all the party nominations will be fair and free wishing all the women and men intending to vie under the UDA ticket the best of luck ahead of the party’s primaries.
Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has the intention of winning over Kajiado County to UDA, the region is predominantly pro Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) with the veteran politician Francis Ole Kaparo and Governor Joseph Ole Lenku endorsing ODM party leader Raila Odinga recently.
