Ruth K’s former manager and makeup artist, Ann Waithera aka Bush Tailor, sensationally claims she helped the influencer script a “distress call” involving her son.
The plot was reportedly hatched out of jealousy after comedian Mulamwah spent a high-profile “family date” with his ex-girlfriend Carrol Sonnie and their daughter Keilah.
Bush Tailor alleges she has audio recordings and receipts proving Ruth K “pinched” the child to provoke crying for social media “clout.”
In a dramatic fallout that has dominated Nairobi’s social media circles, Bush Tailor claimed that Ruth K orchestrated a fake medical emergency involving her son to manipulate Mulamwah.
According to Bush Tailor, the “distress call” was a desperate attempt to draw Mulamwah’s attention back to their home following his highly publicized reunion with his first baby mama, Carrol Sonnie.
“She wanted to show Carrol that even if Mulamwah is seeing the other kid, she’s still the same person,” Bush Tailor alleged.
The most damning allegation involves the creation of viral content intended to tug at the comedian’s heartstrings.
Bush Tailor claims that she recorded Ruth K “pinching” the child to make him cry so they could post a video that would “connect” with his audience.
“I told her, people will say you are copying Carrol Sonnie. Do this, unachuna mtoi (pinch the child) and I record,” Bush Tailor asserted in a viral interview.
“The kid wasn’t actually crying; we recorded several takes to make it look like a distress call.”
The timing of the alleged “distress” coincides with a major turning point in Mulamwah’s life.
In December 2025, the comedian shared emotional photos of a “family date” with Carrol Sonnie and their daughter Keilah Oyando, marking the first time the trio had been seen together in years.
Bush Tailor claims this reunion left Ruth K “feeling bad” and eager to spark a rivalry. She alleged that Ruth wanted to prove she held the ultimate “leverage” over the comedian through their own child.
The feud turned professional when Ruth K issued a formal statement on Monday, January 26, 2026, denying she was ever managed by Bush Tailor.
Ruth accused her former friend of “betrayal” and “tampering” with her personal social media accounts and an iPhone.
Bush Tailor hit back instantly, claiming she had been the “creative genius” behind Ruth’s most viral hits, including the “Tooth” saga and the “Son’s alleged distress call.”
She insisted she has audio recordings and text receipts to prove her role and the alleged manipulation.
As the “He-Said, She-Said” drama intensifies, Mulamwah has finally broken his silence, albeit with a chilling warning. In a widely shared comment, the comedian cautioned against involving his son in digital warfare.
“Huyo ni mtoto wa nani mnachuna..?” (Whose child are you pinching?) he demanded.
“Please play with everyone but not my son.”
While Ruth K continues to distance herself from the “Bush Tailor” brand, child welfare advocates have reportedly begun monitoring the situation following the claims of “pinching” a minor for social media engagement.
