The secret is finally out! In a stunning public declaration that has set the East African gospel scene ablaze, Prophet Robert Lumbasi has confirmed he is the man who has officially won the heart of Tanzanian powerhouse Rose Muhando.
In a candid address that was both a romantic tribute and a firm “keep off” sign to potential suitors, the Prophet revealed that the union was no impulse decision.
According to Lumbasi, the process of bringing the Queen of Gospel into the Mulembe nation has been a long-term mission involving international diplomacy and traditional rites.
“Wale wanaume wa kanisa hili tafadhali musimuapproach Rose, Rose ashachukuliwa. Rose ni Mubaluhya saa hizi, amen!” (To the men of this church, please do not approach Rose; Rose has been taken. Rose is a Luhya now, amen!) the Prophet declared.
Perhaps most shocking was the Prophet’s claim that his 2023 journey to Tanzania to pay the singer’s dowry was a matter of national interest.
He suggested that the union between Kenya’s “Prophet” and Tanzania’s “Prophetic Singer” was seen as a significant cross-border event.
“Actually, ni mambo yalianza zamani lakini leo Mungu ameamua. Mahari ilishapelekwa, kila kitu kimemalizika. So sio jambo la kujificha tena,” he explained.
“Nakumbuka tukienda Tanzania it was 2023 for dowry, nilipigiwa simu kutoka State House wakasema it’s Kenya marrying Tanzania.”
The Prophet made it clear that while the news had been kept “chini ya maji” (underwater/secret) for some time, God has finally allowed him to make it public.
He spoke with deep affection for his new bride, adding, “And I love this woman, I respect this woman.”
The news marks a major shift for Rose Muhando, who for years has maintained a fierce independence, often stating that her demanding ministry left little room for a traditional marriage.
However, it appears the Prophet’s persistence and respect won her over.
As she settles into her new role as a “Mubaluhya” (Luhya wife), fans are already wondering if the Tanzanian star will relocate to Kenya permanently or if the couple will run a joint cross-border ministry.
One thing is certain: as far as the Prophet is concerned, the “Nibebe” singer is now safely in his arms.
