Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai has jotted down a touching tribute to outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta highlighting the bad things he did to him and the good things he did for him.
Alai reveals that when Uhuru took power, he made life difficult for him and other bloggers as he was often arrested for criticizing the government.
“When he got into power, he pushed for my arrest and charging more than anyone. His people tormented me and made life difficult for us bloggers,” Alai wrote in part.
The Kileleshwa ward MCA, however, notes that Uhuru changed for the better and even helped finance his political campaigns.
“But I wish to take this opportunity to thank President Uhuru. When I told him that I wanted to venture into politics, he gave me my first campaign financing. He believed in me and helped support my campaign,” he wrote.
“Thank you for supporting my journey and thank you for believing in me even when we differed on many,” he added.
