Ringtone and Willy Paul don’t see eye to eye but things have now changed after the latter jumped to the defense of the former in a copyright dispute pitting him against Burundian producer iLogos.
Willy Paul is embroiled in a bitter battle over alleged copyright claims of his new track ‘Collabo’ which was pulled down by iLogos music barely hours after it was uploaded on YouTube.

Ringtone has since jumped to the defense of Willy Paul. Speaking in a video on his Instagram account, Ringtone called on authorities to investigate Willy Paul’s claims that iLogos wasn’t paying taxes to KRA.
“I want to talk about the issue of Willy Paul. Kuna mtu nimeskia ni producer kutoka Burundi ambaye anadai Willy Paul pesa. Na Willy Paul amesema huyu mtu hajalipa ushuru KRA. If that’s the truth nataka kuuliza KRA, Kenya police, CID munafanya kazi gani kama kuna foreigner ambaye ako hapa hajalipa ushuru na anasumbua Mkenya,” said Ringtone.
The gospel singer further said that he was standing with Willy Paul because he was a patriotic Kenyan who would defend any Kenyan against a foreigner.
“Mimi Willy Paul sipendangi ufale yake lakini when it comes to being patriotic as Kenyan, ehh Willy Paul is a Kenyan like me. Anakula taabu na tuko na deni ya China sisi wote,” said Ringtone.
